Douglas May receives MFA degree from Texas A&M University at Commerce. Along with five Master’s degree cohorts, May defended his thesis in a group exhibition at the downtown Dallas campus gallery and shortly thereafter received his MFA Suma Cum Laude from the program.

Doug May is now the Publisher of "Harmonica Happenings". The magazine is a quarterly publication of the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica. HH is an internationally distributed publication that has been in circulation to SPAH members for over 45 years.

Douglas May to judge Print Magazine's 2013 Regional Design Awards. The RDA recognizes outstanding graphic design work from 6 different regions: Far West, Southwest, Midwest, South, East and New York City. The RDA is one of the industry's most prestigious competitions.
May creates the "Sustainable Style for Men" Spring 2013 campaign for North Country.
North Country's Spring 2013 collection has been expanded from shirts into a full line of knitwear, linens, polo's, jackets, and jeans. Additionally, we developed the North Country Color System as a buyer's tool promoting longer floor life for the line, optimizing merchandising and maximizing retailer profits. The company has been highly visible at major trade shows including: NYC MRket, Southern Clothing, West Coast Trend, Chicago Collective, Seattle NW Trend Show, and Las Vegas Magic.
Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica taps May for event branding
Enthusiast from all over the world descend on a major U.S. city once a year to learn, demonstrate and preserve the musical contributions of the harmonica. This year's conference identity was created by May & Co. to help promote the event's 49th year.
Marketing promotions selected for communication excellence in 2012 Dallas Show
North Country's 2012 Fall Promotion and Agave: Passion & Tradition have been accepted in the 44th annual Dallas Show, sponsored by the DSVC. This event marks the forth decade in which May & Co. has received recognition for their work from this professional organization.
Three recent projects win Best of Category at Graphex 2012
Two recent projects designed by Doug May picked-up Best of Category awards for Jarvis Press (a Consolidated Graphics Company) at the 2012 Graphex Awards Show. The North Country Fall 2012 look book and the Agave: Passion & Tradition promotion mailer were recognized, with the latter receiving a Bronze Medal for "Best of Digital" category. Additionally May & Co. designed the SMU Open House announcement that won a Best of Category for Etheridge Printing Company.
